The delivery guys were very nice and polite, especially with the kid-glove special. We are so satisfied we didn't even bother replacing it, we're going to keep what we have and move on with our life. When I told LFE about the mix-up they said no problem in replacing the order, they even told me to keep what I had until the replacement came. Everything that was discussed when placing the order was almost exact ( I wanted the couch with the arms on the opposite side). My wife and I are so happy we decided to go with LFE. I found the same exact model at LFE at more than half the price. I saw the couch I wanted at RH, but their price was ridiculous. I was skeptical about dealing with an online order (not all of them have been a good experience for me) especially an expensive order let alone real leather. I found out about LFE through the internet. OMG! I have to thank Sid and his staff for the great work they did on my couch & love seat (the maxwell). As it stands I am still waiting for a follow up from Sam that is a week over due on on top of ignoring my past two emails regarding how to remedy the issues with the sofa.įirst, let me start this experience by saying I normally don't write reviews unless it's really bad or really great. Because of this I let Sam know that I would like to return the sofa to which he informed me that the cost would be $700 for return shipping minus up to 40% of the cost of the sofa for any wear and tear that they determine for the time I had the sofa. When we contact Sam to let him know of these issues we continued to have out voice mails and emails ignored and on the rare occasions we could speak with Sam he would never follow up on the things he told us he would. The dye was orange not the Brompton Chestnut color on the website, we questioned the qualify of the leather as compared to the sample we'd received and the sofa seats and back pillows were so underfilled the noticeably sagged. Upon receipt of the sofa we wished we had never ordered it. On the last call that I had with Sam prior to delivery he let me know that the Italian leather sofa that was to be made in the USA was actually made in Mexico due to trouble sourcing materials. During that time Sam ignored nearly all of our emails & voice mails inquiring about the status and would never follow up with updates at the times he told us he would. "Just two weeks" became a running joke around our house. Sam, the sales rep we were working with told "just two more weeks" at least a half dozen times over the next 6 months until we finally received our sofa after 8 months. Several weeks after that date we inquired about deliver and were told to expect it in 2 weeks. ![]() We were originally told to expect delivery of the Maxwell sofa we ordered in 14 weeks. Thank you, guys.Ībsolutely terrible experience and getting worse by the day. ![]() If they could cut the timeframe down for my chair, I would be ecstatic. My overall experience with Leather Furniture Expo has been very good and I appreciate their professionalism. I need the chair to match or I, too, might have gone a different direction. Most people would not want to wait that long for delivery. This is the reason I only gave an 8 rating regarding my recommendation to a friend. I was patient regarding the initial wait, but now not so much. I ended up having to order a chair as the one I thought would work with the sofa, does not. A battery pack should have been included with the sale of the sofa or at least the customer should have been informed in order to have one ready when the sofa arrived. Without it, I would have to run a cord across the livingroom. The one thing I was not happy about is that I was not aware that I had to have a battery pack bought separately in order to not have to plug in the sofa. I was a little leary when the delivery time seemed to be taking longer than expected, however, due to current supply chain issues, I do not fault the company. ![]() If I had an issue, for example changing the color or needing feedback on the process or production timeline, Dennis or Sam went out of their way to accommodate. The staff was extremely helpful and anxious to please. ![]()
